I had quite an eventful weekend this past weekend. Between lunch and happy hour with my girls to an interesting casino trip it was full of laughs and adult beverages.My friend Ryan was in town last week and we were able to do something we hadn't done in a long time. I was able to get together on Friday and have a trio lunch with her and Megan. Meg and I work right by each other now so Ryan scooped us up and we headed to El Tiempo for some much needed catch up time with chips and salsa.

I didn't snap a picture at lunch (we only had an hour and a half), but I did snap some pics at happy hour with this pretty lady.

We decided on J. Black's right off of Washington and had a good time. Our bartender and waiter were cute, and the drinks and food we consumed hit the spot!

Saturday was the day of the casino tripwell more like Saturday night. I met up with my cousins earlier in the day and we decided to pamper ourselves a bit so we went and got pedicures and I even bought some new digs for the trip!

It was my first time wearing a jumper, but I loved how it fit on me and I can so see this going in my luggage for my Halloween trip to Austin. I paired it with my denim jacket that night, I couldn't go into that cold casino with bare arms. So, when I said Saturday night was the casino trip I meant it. We didn't leave Houston until close to 11:30pm and we made it to Coushatta at 2am. We gambled a bit and most of us were worn out by the time 5:30am hit. I know I was, it was well past my bed time. I actually found a broken slot machine next to my cousin Tasha and took a 45 minute nap. It was glorious!

I wasn't the only one who took a nap either. Look up Tavaria, say cheese! Lol! We left Louisiana at 7am and made it back to Houston around 9:45am, and I was back home around 11am. All I wanted to do was sleep and that's what I did. I feel like I lost an entire day! I had fun at the casino, but I know that our next trip will not be like that. We'll definitely make a whole weekend out of it.Oh! I'm not sure if y'all noticed, but there's a slight change around these parts.

Guess who made the jump and bought their own domain? This girl!!! I felt like it was finally time, I've been blogging in this little space for a while and I want to continue to do so. I posted the above pic on Instagram and my friends were so supportive. I love them.
