The phrase “Black Girl Magic” has been gaining momentum these past few years and I figured why not highlight a few magical Black girls in the music industry. Spanning genres like Jazz, R&B, Pop, Dance, etc these ladies have put out of some of the tunes we sing in the shower, belt out at karaoke and lip sync with our loved ones. They’re songs that have been on our celebration soundtracks as well as songs we cried in our wine glasses to while experiencing the worst heartache. These talented women gave us songs with healing powers.
