Today marks the 20th anniversary of the assassination of this loving soul and I can't believe it's been that long. She is a Texas icon, a Latin icon and her biopic single handedly (that's a word, right?) skyrocketed JLo's career. I remember doing the washing machine and singing along with her albums (Bidi Bidi Bom Bom and Amor Prohibido were my ish!) at daycare and being so sad when she was murdered. Selena was taken too soon and was seriously on her way to being a superstar.
