When we were at the beach over Memorial Day weekend I couldn't help but notice that a lot people were playing the same songs. A lot of country favorites, Houston classics like Mo City Don and I Got 5 On It and Tops Drop, along with newer Drake tracks and Beyonce. Everyone had their own set up and I honestly expected a bit more of a mix so when I didn't find that I went on the hunt for a Spotify playlist to get us moving. The weather was gorgeous for most of the weekend so we needed something upbeat and catchy for us to sing and dance to while keeping ourselves hydrated. Insert Buzzfeed's '00 Party Anthems Spotify playlist. I'm not sure when I followed the playlist, but I'm happy I did. We might've gone through that playlist at least once a day while we were out on the beach and it brought back so many good memories. There were times when we were instantly transported back to where we were when songs were released or were popular, and sometimes sharing stories associated with the tracks was more fun than singing along and dancing! And speaking of dancing, we busted out moves that we hadn't done in years! There was some *NSYNC choreography, leaning back, chicken head, and I even showed them the uh oh dance Beyonce does in the Crazy in Love video. All in all, it was the perfect playlist for a day at the beach. Do yourself a favor and check it out below. You'll thank me later!
