Jaz Daigle - A Nashville Lifestyle Blog

Have I mentioned how much I loveWhitneylately? This girl keeps me in constant fits of giggles, keeps me saying “I know, right?” and even supplies me with some of the cutest screen tees. More recently she inspired me to write this post. Last week she posted ‘Who’sReading You?’ and it got me to thinking. She made very valid points about not knowing who might be reading your blog, especially if it’s public. I know I have mine linked to myInstagramandTwitteraccounts and I’ve seen a few retweets, so I’m sure that there are people other than my 41 followers checking out my blog. One person in particular.

There isn’t much I don’t talk about on here, whether it be good or bad, but I’ve been trying to be a lady and be cordial as far as my breakup with my ex went. After the conversation that was had a my dinner party last Sunday I decided that it was time to get a few things off of my chest. I don’t know if that particular ex still checks out my blog, but if he does this is for him.

It’s nice to not have to explain to friends and family that you’ll probably be late to whatever event you’ve been invited to.

…or just not show up at all. That was always fun to explain to people.

I’m happy that I don’t have to worry about someone snoring all night anymore.

It’s nice to not have to pretend a night person anymore. I like going to sleep by 9pm during on weekdays and I was getting sick and tired of staying up until 11pm waiting for your call…if you called at all.

I'm happy that I can make plans with my girls and follow through without having to wonder whether I should keep my schedule open just in case you wanted to make plans with me. I'm so happy I'm not that girl anymore.

I’m beyond excited that I don’t have to justify my desire to adopt children to someone who had to be persuaded to get on board with that. Especially since I changed my decision to only adopt and agreed to give birth to one child. No, that wasn’t enough.

In fact, it seemed like a lot of things I did weren’t enough.

Oh, and your cousin sent me a message on Facebook hitting on me and asking me out. I quickly shot that shit down. I do not date friends or family members of exes. And I don't know if you told him, but I remember everything you told me about him when we were together and there's no way in HELL I'd set myself up for that.

I know I post about my online dating woes on here, but I really I am a lot happier out of that relationship.
