I couldn't think of a better way to start that project, and if I'm being completely honest I've been listening to this project on damn near repeat since it dropped on Friday. I've been a fan of Terrell's for about a year now. I love his personality and his ear for great music. He made it his mission to introduce his Youtube followers to some great vocalists via his blue wall and I tuned in regularly to see who would be next. Some of them I knew, like Amber Riley and Avery Wilson, but so many were brand new to me. He'd invite people from various TV singing competitions and folks that had their own platform on Instagram or even Youtube!
Well Terrell pulled a Beyonce and dropped a surprise album on us on Friday. He produced it and is on some of the tracks, but it's mostly artists who have been on his show singing. It's a mix of new songs and covers of cookout classics and I LOVE IT! There's an A-side and a B-side, but I feel like I keep repeating songs in the middle of record. I sent a few of the tracks to my friends and told them that not only were the vocals great, but some of these songs had me all the way in my feelings, and some of them were too short! I even got a text from one of my friends on Saturday that said Side A is a whole vibelistening to side b nowBangs!!! Slaps!!! Fire!!! and I couldn't think of a better way to describe this project.
