I think this quote applies to more than just significant others. Family members, friends, other loved who encourage you to be the best you that you can be without trying to change you have the greatest love for you of all. I think that this day should be used to celebrate all loved ones in your life. People get so caught up in the commercial aspect of it, women especially, and the meaning for the day is lost in candy, flowers, jewelry, etc. Not that that stuff isn't appreciated, everyone wants to know that they're appreciated. But I think a simple card or a simple thank you for loving me and not being afraid to show it is great too.
I do have plans to enjoy the night with Chuck, but we decided to keep things lowkey and go to a wine bar. I don't need the hoopla of a fancy restaurant, just some time with him.
