It's Friday and we all know what that means. Time for this wonderful link-up. This was my first full(ish) week at my new place and it's gone pretty smooth. It took me a few days to adjust to a smaller bed (I went from a California King to a Queen sized bed, and a firmer mattress), but I slept through the night for the first time on Wednesday night and it was lovely.

I went and saw Robin Thicke at the Rodeo on Tuesday and had fun a blasteven though he cut his set short by 15 minutes!I went with my friend Marc and it was actually his first time going to Rodeo Houston. My new place is pretty close to the Reliant (soon to be renamed NRG) Stadium, walking distance actually, but we decided to park at Fannin South and ride the train to the stadium. We got there with plenty of time to go enjoy some carnival food and munched on pizza on a stick and split the most delicious cinnamon roll before heading inside for the show.

I've had great seats for every show this rodeo season and Tuesday night wasn't any different. Robin put on a great show, even though he only performed for about 30-35 minutes (he let his band have solos on just about every song), and even did some Michael Jackson and Al Green covers!

He really surprised me when he get off the stage and started walking around the stadium and interacting with fans.

Twitter is 8 years old today.I can't believe it either. I was watching the news this morning and saw that they were doing a time capsule-esque thing where you could see your first tweet and of course I did it. Check out the first tweet I sent out when I joined the site back in 2009.

James died y'all.
I'm not sure if you guys watch Scandal, but if you do you understand the real tears I shed during last night's episode.

I seriously cried for the last 15 minutes of that show, especially during this part.

(I found these gifs onScandal Moment's Tumblr page)
Apparently I wasn't the only one who was affected like this. Check out Ellen's tweet that was sent out while she and Dan Bucantinsky (the actor who portrays James) watched the episode.

We knew someone got killed last week, and many figured that it was going to be James since David is a key player on the show, but I didn't realize how big of a role James played until he was killed. I believe he was the only thing that kept Cyrus semi grounded, and now B-613 has woken a sleeping bear. I can't wait for next week's episode!
I know I've mentioned Luvvie on this blog before, but I wanted to give her a special shout-out because the reviews she does for 'Scandal' are always the best. Check out this funeral program she made for James.

If you watch the show you have to read her recaps every week. She blogs over atAwesomelyLuvvie.com.
Sometimes being an adult doesn't suck so bad.
I found out I have a credit with Reliant Energy when I logged on their site to pay my electricity bill. I guess the deposit I paid when I first signed up at my last apartment was credited back to me when I made my 12 month mark with the company. I went from having to pay $76 for last month's electricity usage plus a $50 move rate, to having a $55 credit!! Look at God!

That's my little happy dance to get this weekend started off right. You're welcome.
