I said that yesterday while I was out bowling with a friend. It took me a while to get to that point after the way things ended with my ex, but I'm at a state of peace now. I've even started dating again. As in going on dates with different people. I haven't done this in a while and I like it. One of the things I said that I was going to do this year was allow myself to be more open and that's what I've been doing. I just didn't realize that it would happen so fast. I guess the saying is true, happiness and being content with yourself attracts others to you. That being said, for some reason I kept seeing this same article pop up on my Facebook newsfeed by friends who were sharing it on their walls and at first I ignored it, thinking that it was something stupid but I was wrong. It was an blog post onPaul C Brunson's blogaboutbanning dinner on a first date. He posted the link on his Facebook page with the additional comment that a first date also shouldn't be at one of the party's homes.

Now I agree with the part about not going to the other's house for a first date, for safety reasons alone, but I agree that it's kind of lazy. I'm not saying that I want a guy to go all out for a first date, shoot I might not want to stay past appetizers, but I don't want to go over to your place for a bowl of spaghetti and Netflix. I usually do Starbucks or a coffee shop in general for a first date. A coffee date can go as long or as short as you want it to go (especially with free refills with my Starbucks Gold Card). What do you guys think?
