Firmoo.comis a uber affordable place to purchase both prescription and non-prescription glasses as well as prescription sunglasses!! I've been seeing a few bloggers writing about them for a while and was checking out their website when I received an email from them asking if I wanted to review a pair. You could imagine my excitement! Since I was contacted by them and asked to review their services and products the glasses were provided to me by them, but the opinions stated below are my own.
I'm not sure if y'all knew this or not, but I wear glasses. And not because I think they're cute and fashionable like a lot of them have become now, but because I need them. I don't have the best eyesight and I've been embracing that since I was about 12 years old.
I used to sit in the front of the class and still squint because I couldn't see the board. It was sad and I would come home with headaches on a daily basis. I didn't want to tell my mom because I didn't think much of it until she finally asked me one day why I always came home with a headache. I had an optometrist appointment by the end of the week.
I remember getting my first pair of glasses like it was yesterday; in fact I think I still have them somewhere at the house. They were a pretty blue metal framed pair by Guess. They were a curved rectangular shape and I loved them! I loved them so much that my next pair of glasses looked just like them, but wasn't made by Guess. Those were the days when you were still called Four Eyes for wearing glasses and when you only owned one pair so you made sure that they matched with everything. I know some of you will ask why didn't I just go the contact route; well I did. I wore contacts for about 6 years, from my freshman year of high school until my sophomore year of college until it got to the point that I would forget to take them out and wake up thinking that my vision had miraculously gotten better overnight. That was the moment that I switched back to glasses and have stuck with them ever since.
My my how times have changed!! I now own 10 pairs of glasses and 4 pairs of prescription sunglasses. Yes you read that correctly, that's 14 pairs of glasses!!! Actually, with this new pair fromFirmoothat makes 15 pairs!
I'm no longer obligated to buy uber expensive frames from my optometrist and be stuck with them for a year. I can now match my glasses to my moods and outfits and I love it!! My entire collection cost me less than $300, and I was able to do that with websites likeFirmoo!
I've been wanted a pair of halfsies (that's what I call them) for a while now,but wasn't sure if I could commit to wire frames, so I was beyond excited when I saw this pair on the website.

They're halfsies and plastic!! Perfect!!!
It took about a week and a half after I ordered them for them to arrive, but you'll hear no complaints from me. That's actually a shorter time than I expected. They came with the a sleeve, a really nice glasses case, a repair screw and a cleaning cloth.

They got an A+ from me for packaging alone!! Then when I tried on the glasses, it was love!!
I've been wearing them since I got them on Thursday, something that's pretty odd for me since I tend to change my glasses daily. I wore them to work on Friday and had to sneak a picture at my desk.
