I'm a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to makeup. It wasn't until my early twenties that I even thought about wearing anything other than eyeshadow, mascara and a bit of liner. I wore a bit of powder in undergrad, but not too much else on the rest of my face. No blush, bronzer, none of that. Now I'm not saying I'm a budding makeup artist or anything, but I know what I like and I wanted to share that with y'all.

See, I told y'all I was all about powder and a bit of eyeshadow. Look at those brows! Le sigh. Nowadays I know that I need to fill these bad boys in. I have a decent shape, but there are a few bare spots that need a little help. I've been using MAC's 'Embark' eyeshadow with a slanted brush to fill them in for the past few years and it gets the job done. It's an easy process and only takes me a few minutes to do in the morning.
I've also taken a liking to Revlon's Photoready liquid foundation. I know now that it takes a bit liquid foundation to hide my acne scars and get me an even tone. I have to set it with a powder because Revlon changed their formula recently and added shimmer to the foundation (who okayed this?) so unless I want to look like a Cullen when I step out in the sun the foundation requires a little powder. I've been going back and forth between Maybelline's Fit Me and Revlon's Nearly Naked powder and a little bit goes a long way.

I apply a bit of blush and maybe bronzer or highlighter to add some dimension to my face, neutral eyeshadows and do a small winged liner. I don't have a steady enough hand for a cream liner, so ELF's liquid liner is a Godsend for me. The brush is small enough for me to handle and the liquid dries to a matte pretty quickly. Plus it's easy to fix my misakes if I make one. I also recently discovered my perfect mascara combo! Maybelline's 'Mega Plush Volume Express' for the full look and their 'Falsies Push Up Drama' for length. I don't have the longest lashes in the world, but with this combo I don't have to wear falsies.

I feel like the biggest part of my glow up (as my baby sister calls it) is my new obsession with lipsticks, primarily liquid lipsticks. I found out about Colour Pop earlier this year and my collection has grown to 18 lipsticks, 1 liner and even a lip primer! Most of them are the matte lippies, but I also have a few satin ones and metallic ones.

I used to only wear lipstick on special occasions, but now I feel like my look isn't complete without something on my lips. Time and time again I find myself reaching for 'More Better' and that might be the first one I have to replace. I honestly don't mind that because at $6 a pop (or even cheaper when they're on sale) these babies are a steal!
Like I said, I'm no makeup artist but I know what works for me. This might sound like a lot but I can honestly do my daily face in less than 15 minutes, lip and mascara included. So, tell me about your relationship with makeup. Do y'all wear it on a daily basis? To school or work? And what are your favorites? Comment below or let me know onTwitter!
