Linking up with these ladies again.Summer's back and I'm happywell kind of. Like the rest of the nation we experienced a really long and uncommon winter and though its nice to not have to sit through 35 degree cold in March, I'm not digging the 95 degree heat.Houston doesn't get all four season, we get Summer and Swinter as my cousin Tavaria affectionately calls Fall/Winter.

It's hot and humid and I have a love/hate relationship with summer, but I'm happy it's here. Summertime used to mean spending all day at AstroWorld (when it was still open), enjoying long weekends every weekend and swimming until I was pruny.Wait, let's reflect on the awesomeness that wasAstroWorld. I feel like it was a rite of passage for those of us in Houston. You either went there every summer or if you were lucky/unlucky you got to work there. I did both!

And even visiting the theme park during that short period in October for Fright Fest.

But I digress. Nowadays summer means long evenings relaxing on my patio, enjoying a cold beer or a glass of wine while people watching or reading.

Summer means binge watching shows on Netflix and Hulu. This is something I can do year round, but it feels extra special to do in the summer.

Summer means I get to spend more time with my little nuggets! They just got back from Florida and I want to smother them with kisses, especially my nephew who just lost his first tooth!

Summer also means my birthday! I'm turning 26 this year and having a shindig at Howl at the Moon. I'm so excited.
