Wow, this year has truly flown by! I can't believe December's already here. It was a brisk 38 degrees this morning when I woke up and my inner child lit up just like my tree when I saw that. I was tempted to make myself a cup of cocoa while I got ready for work, but ended up deciding against it. A decision I now regret. I don't know what it is about this time of year, but I'm always in a better mood during this time of year. Maybe it's all of the holiday décor,thecheesymovies, all of the parties and gatherings, the hot meals and giving myCrockPotextra loving or just the general cheer that's in the air but this time of year always feels magical.
MyEuropeanvacation is two weeks away and I can only imagine how magical Paris and London are going to look this time of year. I think I'm prepared for the chilly weather, the sounds and feel of the city, and to see how we celebrate the holidays similarly and differently across the pond.
I'm also looking forward to celebrating the holidays with my loved ones. Going to see the Zoo Lights, riding around and checking out the Christmas lights in individual neighborhoods. I'm looking forward to the gumbo that's abundant this time of year, as well as the mulled cider. I'm looking forward to curling up with a book on my new couch and reading it under the glow of my Christmas tree lights. I'm looking forward to finishing up my holiday shopping and bagging all of the gifts…because we all know that I don't wrap gifts. I’m looking forward to all the cute bundled up pictures that are going to floodInstagram,TwitterandFacebook. All of the cute scarves, vests and boots!
