: Recommend a book for us to read. Why do you think it's important?
My recommendation is more of a series than one book in particular. This was actually the first adult book series I ever read, and I'm still reading it because James Patterson is still putting out books in this series. I've always been interested in criminology and when this series was introduced to me I latched on and haven't stopped reading them.
I'm talking about
James Patterson's 'Alex Cross' series.
Starting in 1993 with the release of 'Along Came a Spider' (which was turned into a movie with Morgan Freeman playing Alex Cross in 2001) to number 18 in the series, 'Kill Alex Cross' the series. A third movie based off the series is set to be released this year with Tyler Perry taking on the role of Alex Cross. I personally see someone like Denzel Washington when I think of Alex, but hey, what do I know. The series is amazing and I recommend it. It makes you think, there's a love story, it pulls your heart strings while taking you on the roller coaster ride of your life!!
